Day 5 Friday Prayers: Wisdom, Treatments, and Favour
Day 5 of a 28-Day Healing & Restoration Prayer Journey
Today we ask God for wisdom in healthcare decisions, bless medical treatments to work in harmony with how God designed our bodies, and pray for favor with providers. As we speak His Word, we trust Him to guide our steps, steady our hearts, and open doors of grace.
Morning Prayer — Wisdom for Healthcare Decisions

Prayer:
Father, You give wisdom generously. Guide my decisions today—appointments, tests, timing, and next steps. Expose anything hidden, confirm what is right, and close unhelpful paths. Calm anxiety and make my way straight. Father, You have said, and it is written in James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God… and it will be given him.” I ask and receive Your wisdom for my health. Amen.
Verse(s):
- “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” — James 1:5 (ESV)
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)
Reflection/CTA:
- Reflect: What decision needs God’s clarity today? What outcome am I trying to control that I should surrender?
- Act: Speak James 1:5 aloud; write your top one to two questions for your provider and pray over them.
- Declare Aloud: “God gives me wisdom and makes my path straight.”
Afternoon Prayer — Blessing Medical Treatments

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for common grace in medicine and skilled care. Bless every treatment, therapy, supplement, and medication to be effective, well-tolerated, and aligned with Your design for my body. Neutralize harmful side effects, increase the good, and speed recovery. Father, You have said, and it is written in Psalm 107:20: “He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” Send Your Word to work with my treatment today. Amen.
Verse(s):
- “He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” — Psalm 107:20 (ESV)
- “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” — Jeremiah 30:17a (ESV)
Reflection/CTA:
- Reflect: How can I partner with my treatment plan—rest, hydration, timing, or nutrition?
- Act: Speak Psalm 107:20 aloud; set reminders to take medications or perform therapy exactly as prescribed.
- Declare Aloud: “The Lord blesses my treatments and accelerates my healing.”
Evening Prayer — Favour with Healthcare Providers

Prayer:
Gracious God, grant me favor with every provider—doctors, nurses, therapists, staff. Give them sharp insight, compassion, and teamwork. Let communication be clear, appointments timely, and advocacy strong. Father, You have said, and it is written in Psalm 5:12: “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” Surround me with Your favor and peace. Amen.
Verse(s):
- “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” — Psalm 5:12 (ESV)
- “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” — Proverbs 16:7 (ESV)
Reflection/CTA:
- Reflect: Where do I need favor—scheduling, referrals, communication, or understanding?
- Act: Speak Psalm 5:12 aloud; write a brief thank-you note or message to a provider who’s helped you.
- Declare Aloud: “God surrounds me with favor and gives my providers wisdom.”
